GAINS! I’ve lived in Rome for 4 years and let me tell you, finding this place couldn’t have come at a better time! My bikini competition is coming up mid summer and girl neeeds her supplements!  If you live in Rome, you know the most accessible way to buying supplements is at the pharmacy, but as you can imagine, they don’t carry as wide of a selection as they do back home.

My trainer recommended that I check out Nutrition City at Appia Colli Albani (it’s a tad bit out of the way from where I live), but what it lacks in location, it makes up for with convenience and supply! It’s literally like a minute walk from Colli Albani (line A) metro station (depending on which exit you take, HA!) and by the way my gym and eyelash extension/nail salon are all located on the block.  I’m not the only chick that cares about these things right?? Time management is key! So ladies, I’m just sayin’ if you’re lookin’ to get your sweat sesh on, pickin up some protein powder for your apres workout snack, followed by getting your nails and eyelash extension’s retouched in all in one day, this might be the place for youuuuu! I’m looking like ALL kinds of FLEEK haha.

Anyhow, back to business. They have about 5 stores located in and around Rome with one new location opening in April! Sure, I’ve dabbled and bought supplements online, but sometimes, you want to just walk into a store and get help on figuring out which supplements or brands best suit your needs.  There are so many options that it can be overwhelming.  To be honest not all the reps speak english, some do, but you’ll need to brush up on your Italian or come with pictures of items that you’re looking for.

Missing familiar brands like Walden Farms, Quest, Universal and Ultimate Nutrition? BRO, they’ve got you! Some of their other locations are massive, so don’t be discouraged if one store location doesn’t have what you’re looking for, I’m sure the others will!

Other Supplement shops located in Rome are Fitness Integratori (and for the record, it’s not anywhere near as convenient to get to as  Nutrition City Colli Albani), but nevertheless it’s still located in Rome.  I personally haven’t visited the following two supp stores, so I can’t speak to their variety/depth of products, however if it’s in your neighbourhood it’s worth a shot to give them a try.  Fitness Integratori is located at Via Oderisi da Gubbio 186 Roma. You can get in touch with them through Facebook or their website.  Last but not least is there’s Body Zone located at Via Albalonga 5 (Metro stop Re di Roma).
